Vehicle Condition & Additional Charges
Valet One prices are based on vehicles being presented in a reasonable condition consistent with the service booked. Due to the varying condition of individual vehicles, Valet One reserves the right to apply additional charges where the condition of a vehicle requires substantially more time, labour, products or specialist treatment than is reasonably covered by the advertised service price.
Additional charges may apply for, but are not limited to:
- Excessive pet hair, including embedded or heavily matted hair.
- Excessive mud, sand, dirt, soil or debris.
- Excessive food, drink or other spillages.
- Staining that requires additional treatment or specialist products.
- Vomit, urine, faeces or other bodily fluids.
- Blood or other biological contamination.
- Mould, mildew or other potentially hazardous contamination.
- Excessive smoking residue, ash or tobacco contamination.
- Excessive dust, dirt or contamination in hard-to-reach areas.
- Heavy contamination in boot areas, footwells, seats, carpets or upholstery.
- Excessive rubbish or personal belongings that require significant additional time to remove.
- Chewing gum, adhesives, stickers or other substances requiring specialist removal.
- Excessive grease, oil, tar, bitumen, tree sap or other difficult-to-remove contaminants.
- Vehicles used for transporting animals, children, tradespeople, waste or other materials where the interior has become heavily contaminated.
- Any damage, staining or contamination requiring additional specialist cleaning, extraction, deodorising or treatment.
- Any other condition that, in Valet One's reasonable opinion, requires significantly more time, labour, materials or specialist treatment than the standard service allows for.
Assessment of Additional Charges
Where possible, Valet One will assess the vehicle's condition before work begins and advise the customer of any additional charge before carrying out the additional work.
If unexpected contamination or conditions are discovered during the valet, Valet One may pause the work and contact the customer before proceeding with chargeable additional work.
Additional charges will be based on the additional time, labour, products, equipment and/or specialist treatment reasonably required.
For particularly severe contamination or hazardous conditions, Valet One reserves the right to decline or discontinue the service where it is considered unsafe, unsuitable or outside the scope of the equipment and products available.
Biohazard & Health and Safety
Vehicles containing potentially hazardous biological material, including faeces, urine, vomit, blood, needles, syringes or other potentially infectious material, may require specialist treatment and may be subject to an additional charge.
Valet One reserves the right to refuse work involving contamination that presents a health, safety or hygiene risk to staff or customers.
The customer is responsible for informing Valet One of any known hazards or contamination before the service begins.
Pre-Existing Damage & Condition
Valet One will take reasonable care when cleaning vehicles; however, cleaning may reveal pre-existing damage, wear, staining, discolouration, faded materials, damaged trim, loose fabric, weakened plastics or other defects that were not readily visible before cleaning.
Valet One cannot accept responsibility for pre-existing defects or deterioration that becomes apparent during or after cleaning.
Where a vehicle's condition presents a risk of damage during cleaning, Valet One may recommend that the affected area is not treated or may decline to clean it.
Customer Responsibility
Customers are responsible for removing valuable, fragile, personal or important belongings from the vehicle before the service begins.
Valet One is not responsible for personal belongings left inside the vehicle unless they have been specifically handed to a member of staff for safekeeping.
By booking a Valet One service, the customer acknowledges that the final price may be adjusted where the vehicle's condition falls materially outside the normal condition expected for the service booked.
Any additional charge will be communicated to the customer wherever reasonably possible before the additional work is undertaken.
